Meet Natalie Lowe our Weddings Coordinator

Natalie joined the team at The Gallivant Hotel in February 2011.

Prior to this she was Front of House Manager and part of the opening team for a 5 star luxury apartment hotel in Edinburgh. It was here she set up and launched exclusive wedding receptions in the hotels grand apartments.

But Edinburgh is not where it all started for her in this business as 6 years ago she took the brave decision to leave blighty and head for the open seas on a luxury cruise liner as an Entertainments Officer for P&O cruises.

Here she found herself hosting cabaret shows, theatre performances and creating game shows and quiz evenings. She even got herself a nickname for leading the line dancing as ‘Nag riding Natz’, something we thought worth mentioning!!

Promoted to Assistant Cruise Director she found herself hosting dinner parties and most importantly ensuring that the live show performances were all running to schedule, something that has proved very useful in her role as Wedding Planner.

Over the past 6 months Natalie has made weddings at The Gallivant her own and has developed many personal touches that have made The Gallivant Wedding offer so unique.

“I think the secret to a successful wedding is the relationship that is built between the wedding planner and the couple. Trusting in someone to deliver your special day can be hugely daunting and so I work really hard at building this trust. Couples get to meet some of the other key members in the hotel so when the big day arrives they are being served by familiar faces which I think is very much our vision of what weddings should be.”
