My daughter had her wedding here on the 5 april 2012. What an amazing place. It was a true fairytale wedding. All the staff were amazing but in particular PETER, the restaurant manager. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing and would love to do it all again. Thank you so much for a great time.

We would like to thank you, and all the staff at the Gallivant for our wonderful wedding on January 21st. We had the most fabulous day, and owe a great deal to you personally and everyone at the Hotel for making it so special. Without fail the staff were courteous and helpful, and did everything they could to make our day work. They all had smiles for everyone and the standard of cleanliness and service was excellent.
From the first moment we contacted you we had complete faith you would make everything simple and so it proved. You gave great advice about all the little things that needed to be remembered, it was a really practical and helpful approach which made the planning for our day so very much easier and stress free.
I had a wonderful ride on the beach in the morning on my horse and arrived to a spotlessly clean bridal suite with piping hot water to get ready. The lounge was a brilliant place to meet my bridesmaids and enjoy the period before the wedding.
The bistro transformed into a lovely room, and the chairs were set out to make it an intimate but formal event. We loved the Rye registrar’s ceremony, and it was good to have you on hand to make sure the music worked.
After our stomp on the beach for pictures, we went on to the marquee for our fish and chip lunch which was brilliant. Everybody loved it and many commented on how it was top quality and piping hot. So compliments to the chef for his menu, and to the kitchen staff for getting it out to 65 people so fresh..
The Bistro is a really nice venue for a party, we loved the disco you recommended, and the bacon butties from the bbq were all we had hoped.
Finally, it was such a joy to have breakfast with all our friends still there after we all stayed in the hotel. Breakfast itself by the way was delish and got lots of compliments. All the guests said it was a top way to spend a weekend, the children loved being near the beach for football games etc.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day. We we be back to see you for lunch or supper for sure, hopefully with our children (!)

I’ve got lots of thanks to send over to you and all of the Gallivant Team – we really had the most AMAZING day, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The setting and everything that you all did to make the day so fabulous was noticed by everyone especially me and Ross. The canapés & drinks were fantastic, the main meal was really absolutely beautiful and just everything really. Your team looked after us all so well, we really can’t thank you enough. We were so lucky, everyone has said to us that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to which is quite a accolade and a lot of that is down to The Gallivant – you’re onto a winning formula! I think for me, one of the things that is really to your advantage is that in no way did I ever feel like it was a formulaic wedding process either before or on that day – that was really important to me because even though I know you do actually do weddings all the time and they can’t be that different, it really did feel as though i was just ours and that was lovely so THANK YOU!

I am writing to express a belated thank you for the fabulous wedding reception on 25th/26th September. There were so many elements to bring together during the weekend we were very nervous about how it would all work out, but the whole weekend went very well thanks to you and your team. Paulo especially, came in for praise from our guests and he did so much to make it run smoothly with a great deal of good humour. We thought the food at the reception and on the beach was superb, and I did have a word with Chef on Sunday to say how good we thought it was. We had so many people say it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and saying how much they would like to return to Camber Sands. We certainly would and would like to know if you are open the last week in November as we are thinking of coming down for a few days midweek? Once again thank you for making a special occasion very special indeed.
